Western Economic Diversification

Tom Lukiwski

Nomination Date: 15/12/2017

Born in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, Tom ran his own small business prior to entering politics. He understands the challenges entrepreneurs face, and appreciates how a government’s management of the economy can really make or break it for them.

First elected to the House of Commons in 2004, he has represented the people of Regina-Lumsden-Lake Centre, and since 2015, Moose Jaw-Lake Centre-Lanigan. Most recently, he served as Chair of the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates.

Tom has always believed in the importance of getting involved in the community. He was a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders Marketing Board, as well as the Labatt Brier Board. He’s also been heavily involved with groups such as Skate Canada, as well as groups that raise money to support literacy and fight the debilitating effects of Parkinson’s disease.

Tom and his wife, Diane, have lived in the riding for over twenty years. They have two adult sons.
