“As the Shofar roars, Jews in communities across Canada and around the world come together to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. The Jewish New Year commemorates the creation of Adam and Eve, inspiring a spirit of renewal and repentance.
“Gathering at the ‘head of the year’ around tables laid with challah, honey-dipped apples, and other foods passed down through the generations, families will come together to reflect on the past and look towards a sweeter year ahead.
“As Canada’s synagogues and Jewish institutions face an unacceptable rise in antisemitic attacks, Rosh Hashanah is also a chance to reaffirm the values of faith and freedom Canada has long sought to protect.
“Conservatives are committed to defending our Jewish communities and ensuring that every Canadian can practice their religion freely and in safety.
“In the coming year, I wish all those celebrating hope, peace and renewal.
