Ottawa, ON –The Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition and Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, released the following statement today announcing the Conservative Affordability Team, his renewed Shadow Cabinet that will fight for Canadians to bring home lower prices, safer streets and a united country:
“Who is fighting for you?
“For you to have affordable groceries, gas and mortgage payments. For you to have growing take-home pay and dollars that go further. For you to have safe streets. For you and your family.
“Today, I am announcing the Conservative Affordability Team: our renewed Shadow Cabinet. This team will have three priorities: affordability, affordability and affordability.
“Yes, we will fight for national unity. We will fight for better health care. We will fight against tariffs, crime and corruption.
“But all of those problems are made worse by Liberal recessions and Liberal inflation. Canadians are being asked to work harder and harder to pay more and more for less and less.
“Meanwhile, the Liberal club of insiders, lobbyists and power brokers gets ahead through carve-outs, bailouts and handouts, all paid for by you.
“Enough.
“Conservatives are on your side: on the side of the people who work hard, pay their taxes and play by the rules.
“We will fight for a country that is affordable at home, safe at home and united at home.
“That is why we will continue to fight for you. We have the team. We have the plan. We have the hope. And we have the fight.”
