Mike Duggan is well known in politics from his time as a municipal councillor in Gatineau, and is originally from North Bay. He studied chemistry at the University of Waterloo and worked in Toronto before teaching for three years in Osaka, Japan. For the past 18 years Mike and his wife Yuko decided to raise their three children in Alymer.
An experienced politician, Mike has worked in several federal departments in information technology and programming while completing his master’s degree in environmental studies. After leaving the civil service, he became a councillor for the Lucerne district in 2013 and was re-elected in 2017 in the Deschênes district. He is passionate on environmental issues, recreation and sports, community organizations and urban planning.
