Canada First

Whereas after nine years of Trudeau, Canada’s economy per person is smaller than it was when he took office and is now teetering on the brink of collapse with this renewed threat;

Whereas Canada has the most indebted households, has had the worst housing inflation, and food prices have risen 37% faster in Canada than in the United States;

Whereas President Trump made an unjustified threat of a 25% tariff on Canada’s already weak and shrinking economy taking Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland off-guard, even though President Trump had been talking about it for years on the campaign trail;

Whereas Trudeau must put partisanship aside, and in the spirit of Team Canada, accept that he cannot go ahead with quadrupling the carbon tax to 61 cents a litre because combining this crippling tax increase with potential tariffs from Donald Trump would push our economy into a tailspin;

Whereas Trudeau must cancel his energy cap, which would see Alberta and Saskatchewan produce 35% less energy at a time when we need those jobs;

Whereas Justin Trudeau must fully reverse his liberalization of drugs by banning them and prosecuting those who traffic in them, and secure our borders against the illegal importation of fentanyl;

Whereas President Trump has the right to put his workers and his nation’s security first while a Common Sense Conservative government led by Pierre Poilievre will always put Canada’s workers and Canada’s security first.

Therefore, we the undersigned call on the Trudeau government to put partisanship aside and protect Canadian workers, secure our borders, axe the carbon tax, fix the immigration system, rebuild our military and finally put forward a plan to put CANADA FIRST.
