I was born in Stouffville and raised in King Township, not far from Newmarket-Aurora. My husband Kelvin and I move into Newmarket in 1980 and are proud to have raised our two talented daughters here.

It has been encouraging to watch so many young families from a rich patchwork of backgrounds become involved in our community. My own volunteer work has allowed me to get involved with organizations such as the school PTA, our Royal Canadian Legion and the North Newmarket Lions Club as well as playing musical accompaniment for the York Region Police Male Chorus.

I am proud to have earned a reputation of someone who solves problems. Not only do my husband and I run our own business to help employers make their business safer and more efficient, but through my work with MPP Frank Klees, I have learned how to make government work for people.

Our community needs action on issues like relieving gridlock and the recent manufacturing job losses. As your Conservative candidate, I want to get things done for this community, not tell people how they should live their lives. I have faith that I can help the Conservative team build on the good work they have already done for families and the economy, and ensure that the needs of Newmarket—Aurora are heard and addressed.
