Mark Adler is founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Economic Club of Canada, Canada’s leading public affairs and speakers’ forum for business, national and international issues. He was born and raised in York Centre, attending Anthony Road Public School, Dufferin Heights Junior High and William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute. Mark did his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto and graduate studies at the Carleton University School of Public Administration in Ottawa. Before he founded Economic Club of Canada, Mark served as the Director of Corporate Programs with the Canadian Institute of International Affairs, where he led delegations of influential Canadian Businessmen to various countries to meet with world leaders and decision makers. Prior to that, he worked as a trade representative for the Government of Ontario’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Technology, in Boston Massachusetts, USA. He is an accomplished author, publishing a series of books on the topic of Cross Border Shopping which earned him acclaim within the government, industry and media. Mark lives in York Centre with his wife Alison and their children, Ethan and Isabelle where they are active members of the Bathurst Jewish Community Centre and Beth Jacob and Beth Emeth Synagogues.
