Member of Parliament
Chungsen is an entrepreneur with vast international business experience. His Environmental Group of Companies are engaged in disaster mitigation, emergency relief shelters, environmental friendly buildings, air and water purification systems, waste management systems, sustainable energy systems, alternative building materials and disaster mitigation management. These companies are headquartered in Richmond Hill, and provide services and goods worldwide.
Chungsen began his business career with Price Waterhouse in 1972 and by 1982 he was General Manager, of CUDA, the Canadian Urban Transportation Development Corporation (UTDC). He successfully marketed and sold Canadian urban transit technology to China, Japan and Malaysia.
Since moving to Richmond Hill, Chungsen has been a member of several Trade Missions to China and South East Asia including several representing the Federal Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario and the Town of Richmond Hill.
He has been instrumental in the formation of The Richmond Hill and Markham Chinese Businessmens Association and has worked tirelessly within the community on projects, committees and organizations. His record of achievement has been recognized with many prestigious awards and certificates of merit from community, government and business organizations.
Besides English, Chungsen speaks Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese) as well as Japanese. He is conversant in German and working on increasing his French capabilities with a planned Immersion course.
