Member of Parliament
Born in Annapolis Royal, Greg graduated from Mount Allison University with Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees.
With previous experience as a teacher, Greg entered politics by serving as MLA for Annapolis West for 15 years. Eight of those years he served as Minister of Finance. He also held other varied and important portfolios, including County Councillor for one term. In addition, Greg owned a beef farm and operated a logging business.
First elected to the House of Commons in 2008, Greg was most recently appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Veterans Affairs.
Greg is a life-long volunteer. A few positions he’s held include Vice-Chair of the Annapolis Basin Conference Centre, Chairman of the Annapolis Royal Wharf Society, and Board Member of Annapolis Valley Health, the District Health Authority.
Residing in Granville Centre, Nova Scotia, Greg is married to Marcia. They have two daughters.
