Tobique – Mactaquac
Mike has deep roots in the St. John River Valley, where his family has been engaged in farming, railroad operations, education and politics.
With a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick and an MBA, he has worked with New Brunswick Power and as a consultant to major energy and research companies in Canada and the United States.
An active member of the community, he is a past President of the Fredericton Golf and Curling Club and has worked with groups such as the Canadian Nuclear Association, the World Energy Congress and the New Brunswick Construction Symposium.
Mike is also active as a coach and player of baseball, hockey and golf.
He was first elected to the House of Commons in 2006, and sits on the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans and the Standing Committee on Natural Resources.
Mike and his wife, Jennifer, live in Douglas, NB.
