Member of Parliament
Rodney has been working for his community for many years, as a businessman, volunteer and public servant.
After attending the New Brunswick Community College, Saint John campus, he owned and managed several small businesses. He was also a volunteer fire fighter and Fire Chief of the St. Martins Volunteer Fire Department. He served as Deputy Mayor of the Village of St. Martins.
As a Member of Legislative Assembly for Saint John-Fundy, Rodney served as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agriculture, and as Minister responsible for the Office of Human Resources. He later became Chief of Staff to Premier Bernard Lord.
Rodney was first elected to the House of Commons in 2008, and serves as Chair of the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans.
