Member of Parliament
Lotbinière – Chutes-de-la-Chaudière
Jacques is known above all as a tireless worker and that is reflected in the enthusiasm he invests in his work as MP. He is a farmer who took over the family farm and who still farms his own land today.
Jacques and his wife, Chantal, have five children: Amélie, Sarah-Sophie, Kathia-Maude, Jérémie and Ann-Julie.
Jacques has been your Conservative MP since 2006 and he has worked very hard to serve your interests in the House of Commons. He spends a lot of time in the riding and makes himself available to anyone who wishes to speak with him. He takes his community to heart and wants to see it thrive.
In Ottawa, Jacques was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Labour and the Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec in October 2007. In November 2008 he was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Works and Government Services Canada and to the Minister of National Revenue.
Jacques joined the Conservative Party a few years ago to share his values of the importance of family, agriculture and accountability. He is a die-hard nationalist, and a builder who wants to keep building with you.
