Member of Parliament
Keith was born and raised in Lincoln, attending high school in Oromocto. He worked in local companies and owned and operated his own businesses.
As a parent he felt very strongly about education and became a School Trustee, becoming President of the New Brunswick School Board Trustees Association and later Director and Finance Chairman of the Canadian School Board Association.
Keith continued in public service as an MLA in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick for nine years, where he served as Deputy Speaker and as Minister of Natural Resources.
In 2008, he was elected to the House of Commons. He currently serves as the Minister of National Revenue, Minister for the Atlantic Gateway and Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
Keith and his wife, Judy, live in Lincoln. They have two adult children.
