Cameron MacKeen
A former political reporter with the Chronicle Herald newspaper, Cameron now practices law in Nova Scotia. He has served in numerous roles with the federal party, including a term as the founding president of the Halifax EDA. He and his wife Shona have two children, Ewan, 8 and Kirstie, 5.

Canada’s Founding Party
On October 16th, 2003, the leaders of the Canadian Reform Conservative Alliance and the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada announced an agreement-in-principle to unite under a new political banner. In December 2003, the merger was overwhelmingly ratified by members of both parties and the Conservative Party of Canada was officially born.
