Born in Montreal, Richard Yufe has been an active volunteer with the Conservative Party of Canada since its establishment from the merger of its predecessor parties. Richard is a past President of the Mount-Royal EDA (electoral district association) and has also participated as a board member with other EDAs. Richard has volunteered in various capacities assisting in federal elections since 2004 and he has attended each of the Conventions, first in Montreal (2005), then in Winnipeg (2008), and most recently in Ottawa (2011).
Richard received a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University, and a Bachelor of Law from the Universite de Montreal. Richard also attended the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University where he studied for an MBA.
Richard is a member in good standing with the Barreau du Quebec (the Quebec law society). He has extensive experience in finance as well as in real estate investment. Richard has been licensed with the Quebec securities commission (the AMF “Autorité des marchés financiers”) and the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) as an advisor and as a registered director of an investment firm. In addition to serving as a director on several boards, Richard Yufe also serves in a diplomatic capacity as the Honorary Consul for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
Married to Jacqueline, a cardiology fellow and a doctor of internal medicine, they are both active in their community supporting and volunteering with numerous charitable, community and professional organizations.
