Stop Extortion

Whereas after 8 years of Justin Trudeau, the rate of extortion across Canada is up 218%;

Whereas towns and cities that used to be peaceful are now being terrorized by foreign gangs that threaten our neighbours with violence and arson;

Whereas Justin Trudeau’s catch-and-release justice system and repealing of mandatory minimum prison sentences for convicted offenders has made it easier for gangsters and extortionists to get out of jail and re-offend;

Whereas mayors in provinces like B.C. and Ontario have written to the Prime Minister’s top officials to reverse the chaos he has caused;

Therefore be it resolved that Common Sense Conservatives will restore mandatory minimum prison sentences for convicted extortionists, including tougher minimum jail time for gang, firearm, and arson related extorsion cases, to bring home safe streets.
