Stand with the Jewish people against anti-semitism

Whereas over the course of history, the Jewish people have faced hatred and discrimination, here in Canada and around the world.

Whereas we unequivocally condemn the Hamas terrorists who murdered nearly 1,200 innocent people in Israel.

Whereas following these murderous attacks, the Jewish people have faced a new wave of anti-semitism and hatred, including violent attacks and vandalism here in Canada.

Whereas the Jewish people here at home, and in their ancestral homeland of Israel, have a right to exist.

Therefore be it resolved that we call on the federal government to take a clear stand against anti-semitism and ensure that Jewish people in Canada are protected against cowardly attackers.
