Make Baby Formula Affordable

Whereas Conservatives raised concerns in 2022 about the increasing price of baby formula and the Liberal government failed to act;

Whereas rising baby formula costs disproportionately affect the lowest income families, especially single mothers;

Whereas every dollar the Prime Minister spends comes out of the pockets of Canadians, and Carney’s $78.3 billion deficit will cause food inflation to rise;

Whereas inflation on baby formula has risen 84 percent since 2017, the highest inflation on any food product in Canada.

Therefore, we the undersigned stand with Conservatives in calling on Mark Carney and the Liberal government to take immediate action to address the soaring cost of baby formula and ensure Canadian families can afford essential nutrition for their children.
