Halt the Next Liberal Boondoggle

Whereas after 11 years of Liberal managed decline, Canadians need builders, not costly and delayed bureaucracy;

Whereas the Liberal government’s proposed High-Speed Rail Initiative could cost $79.8 billion amid a $78.3 billion deficit, taking 7 years from the start of construction in 2030 to just build a single span connecting two cities, and limited use for many Canadians;

Whereas the plan may require expropriation of private land and repeats past failures, such as the Mirabel airport project;

Whereas viable alternatives exist to the Alto project, including extending runways at Billy Bishop Airport to improve competition, affordability, and transportation efficiency for Canadians.

Therefore, we the undersigned, stand with Conservatives in demanding a halt to the next Liberal boondoggle.
