Fire Minister Gary Anandasangaree

Whereas under the Liberals, gun crime has gone up by 130% and overall violent crime up nearly 55%, while Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree has failed to stop gangs and gun smugglers;

Whereas instead of targeting these gangsters and criminals, the government is planning to confiscate the property of law-abiding, licensed Canadian hunters, farmers, and sports shooters—including Indigenous people exercising their treaty rights—at a cost of at least $750 million to taxpayers;

Whereas Minister Anandasangaree has engaged in egregious breaches of ministerial duty by making private promises to personally intervene for his constituents under the confiscation scheme, while failing to uphold the impartiality and integrity required of his office;

Whereas under his watch, criminal gangs have continued to terrorize communities, seniors have been defrauded of millions, over 600 foreign nationals convicted of serious crimes have been lost track of, and Canadian families have suffered tragic losses—including the death of an 8-year-old child—because of his failure to act;

Therefore be it resolved that we the undersigned call on Minister Anandasangaree to be immediately fired from his post as Public Safety Minister for his failures.
