END THE TEMPORARY FOREIGN WORKER PROGRAM

Whereas Mark Carney and the Liberals have issued over 105,000 Temporary Foreign Worker permits in just six months and the Liberals are on track to issue the most TFW permits in Canadian History.

Whereas youth unemployment is at its worst in more than 25 years outside the pandemic, wages are being suppressed, and hundreds of thousands of Canadians cannot find work.

Whereas corporations like Tim Hortons have hired over 1,100% more TFWs in only four years, shutting young Canadians out of entry-level jobs and vital work experience.

Whereas Canadian jobs must go to Canadian workers, not to cheap foreign labour that benefits corporate profits while harming our economy.

Therefore, we the undersigned support Pierre Poilievre and Canada’s Conservatives’ plan to scrap the Temporary Foreign Worker program, stop issuing permits to new TFWs, and restore Canadian jobs for Canadian workers.
