Emergency Diesel Price Relief Action Plan Now

Whereas diesel powers the farm equipment that grows our food, the machinery that powers Canadian industry, the trucks that deliver it and the vehicles Canadians drive to work;

Whereas Canadians are paying 41 cents more per litre for diesel than the world average and 32 cents more than Americans, driving up costs for farmers, businesses and families;

Whereas, for 11 years, the Liberals have blocked and delayed Canadian energy projects, leaving Canada with fewer ways to produce, refine and transport our own fuel;

Therefore, we the undersigned call on the Liberal government to adopt the Conservative Diesel Price Relief Action Plan: eliminate all taxes on diesel until at least Canada Day, and provide emergency pre-permitting and tax relief for fuel refining and transportation infrastructure.
