Defend our Farmers

Whereas the Trudeau Liberals have launched a full-scale attack on Canadian farmers.

Whereas their carbon tax will cost the average 5,000-acre farm $150,000 a year by 2030.

Whereas their potential cap on fertilizer use will limit farmers’ crop yields while restricting their ability to make a good living.

Whereas these policies will continue driving up the cost of production and transportation for our farmers while making food more expensive for Canadian families.

And whereas Conservatives have already achieved a big win exempting the cost of grain drying, and barn heating from the carbon tax.

We the undersigned call on the Trudeau Liberals to stop the fertilizer nitrogen cap, axe the carbon tax, and end all attacks on our farmers to bring home lower grocery prices for Canadians.
