Petition to the House of Commons

We, the undersigned citizens and residents of Canada, draw the attention of the House of Commons to the following:

Whereas Canadians are committed to upholding the protection of international human rights,

Whereas Canadians recognize that ethnic, religious, and other minority groups are routinely targeted around the world by human rights violators,

Whereas Bill C-281, the International Human Rights Act, seeks to add additional protection against human rights violations and promote a stronger role for Parliament in that fight,

Therefore, we, the undersigned citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to quickly adopt Bill C-281, the International Human Rights Act.
