Fight for Canada

Whereas a sudden U.S. tariff change now imposes a 50 per cent levy on the full value of Canadian metal-based products;

Whereas costs have surged overnight, with some manufacturers reporting tariffs jumping from $1,500 to over $30,000 per item, potentially going as high as a 4,000 percent increase, threatening Canadian manufacturers and jobs;

Whereas Carney promised to get a deal for Canada last year and fix trade with the United States but has failed to deliver;

Whereas Carney has reportedly not held major negotiations with the Americans for 5 months, or even uttered a single word on these new tariffs as our manufacturers face a massive attack.

Therefore, we the undersigned call on the Liberal government to secure a deal, fight these tariffs, and defend Canadian workers and industries.
