Save Our Auto Industry With a Tariff-Free Auto Pact
Whereas Canada’s auto sector supports hundreds of thousands of jobs and is vital to our economy;Whereas Canadian auto production has fallen sharply from over two million vehicles to about 1.2 million in recent years;Whereas Mark Carney has failed to remove American tariffs as promised, allowing billions to be collected from Canadian auto manufacturers;Whereas Liberal policies, including EV rebates that subsidize foreign-made vehicles, further undermine Canadian production and workers;Whereas Canada must restore fair, tariff-free trade with the United States and strengthen North American supply chains; Therefore, we the undersigned call on the Liberal government to adopt the Conservative plan to support Canadian auto manufacturing, remove barriers to buying Canadian-made vehicles and pursue a tariff-free auto pact with the United States to protect and grow Canada’s auto industry.
