Statement from Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole on Good Friday
April 2, 2021
Ottawa, ON – The Hon. Erin O’Toole, Leader of Canada’s Conservatives and the Official Opposition, released the following statement on Good Friday:
“Today, Christian communities in Canada and around the world will observe Good Friday.
“Good Friday is a solemn day of reflection on the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus giving His life for the forgiveness of sins. On this day, we are challenged by His humility and humbled by His sacrifice.
“While this year has been exceptionally difficult, the Easter season is an important reminder of hope and new beginnings.
“The challenges we are facing can be a time for reconciliation and renewal. It is a time to reach out and help people in need regardless of race and religion.
“On behalf of Canada’s Conservatives, I wish everyone observing this solemn occasion a peaceful Good Friday!”
