Liberals’ Infrastructure Plan Failing to Deliver for Canadians: MP Matt Jeneroux
March 12, 2019
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OTTAWA, ON – Matt Jeneroux, Conservative Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Communities and Urban Affairs, released the following statement regarding the Parliamentary Budget Officer’s (PBO) report on the Liberal government’s infrastructure plan:
“Today’s PBO report once again confirms that Justin Trudeau’s infrastructure plan is failing Canadians and is not evidence based. In fact, Justin Trudeau’s infrastructure plan fails to meet the Liberals’ own targets to grow the economy, create jobs, and respect taxpayers. Instead, their plan has delayed the much-needed construction of new roads, bridges and community spaces.
“The PBO report also highlighted that the Liberals’ failed infrastructure plan has had real consequences for those looking to get back to work. Not only is the Liberal infrastructure plan facing massive delays, but their failure to work with the provinces has resulted in 10,000 fewer good-paying jobs.
“An Andrew Scheer government will put forward an infrastructure plan that not only grows the economy, but gets much needed projects built in communities across Canada.”
