Teck Frontier Mine Cancelled

Teck Resources was awaiting Justin Trudeau’s decision on the company’s $20 billion oil sands mine project, slated to create nearly 10,000 jobs and generate $12 billion in federal revenue.

But, citing “political unrest” concerns, Teck has pulled out of the Frontier Mine project.

Moving the goalposts and death-by-delay are tactics that Trudeau and his anti-energy allies have been using for years.

Now, they added another tool to stop these projects – a failure to stand up for the rule of law

His inaction has emboldened radical activists to do whatever they can to shut down nation-building energy projects.

Trudeau will do what he always does: Blame everyone other than himself. Yet this project has been sitting on his desk since last July!

And even worse, Liberal MPs were already telling him to block it, despite Teck Frontier being described as in the public national interest by experts, and it being supported by Indigenous groups.

Once again, Trudeau’s Liberals have turned a national opportunity into a national crisis.
