Justin Trudeau Wants Your Banking Information
Recently we learned Statistics Canada accessed 15 years worth of Canadians’ financial information without their knowledge or consent.
Your personal financial information belongs to you – and you have a right to know when it is being accessed and for what purpose.
This is a disturbing and unprecedented intrusion into Canadians’ private lives.
Just as bad, there is no way to ensure this information will be protected when the federal government has a track record that includes more than a million Canadians having their data compromised by data breaches.
Protecting the personal information of Canadians is a basic role of government.
After all, it is 2018, not 1984.
Canada’s Conservatives are calling on Justin Trudeau and the Liberals to protect the privacy of Canadians.
