Don't Erase History on our Passports
Whereas Canadian passports are an important reflection of our national identity.
Whereas the current version of the Canadian passport introduced in 2013 includes references to important iconic Canadian history such as Terry Fox, the Stanley Cup, the Vimy Ridge Memorial, Nellie McClung, and the Fathers of Confederation.
Whereas the Liberal government’s redesign of the Canadian passport has replaced this iconic Canadian history with a squirrel eating a nut, a man raking leaves, and a boy jumping into a lake.
Therefore be it resolved that we call on this Liberal government to stop erasing Canadian history, and retain this history in the Canadian passport.
