Mike Windsor was born in Wesleyville, and later moved to St. John’s. He attended school in the city, but kept in contact with his roots by spending part of his summers in Bonavista Bay North. After completing Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education degree, and a Ministry Diploma from Memorial University of Newfoundland, he taught and ministered in rural and urban Newfoundland.
After moving to Alberta as a Guidance Counsellor, he attained an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Distance Education from Athabasca University. Drawing on his experience in career development and mentoring, he went on to establish and manage mentoring programs and professional development for large corporations.
Mike spent most of his life as a teacher, speaker, mentor, pastor, chaplain and counsellor. For the last 10 years he’s been in a leadership role training, coaching, and mentoring in oil & gas and mega-construction industries on multi-billion dollar projects across North America.
After retiring in 2012, Mike was enticed back to work as a Learning and Development Manager for Eastern Canada at a construction and mining business. In 2013, he was assigned a training role in Bull Arm where he trained and coached field workers, entry-level leaders, and senior site managers.
