| Stéphane Dion is Not a Leader
January 29, 2007
New Television ads feature Liberals speaking for themselves Yesterday, The Conservative Party of Canada released three English-language television advertisements that demonstrate to Canadians that Stéphane Dion is a weak leader who would take Canada back. Based upon actual footage from last year’s Liberal leadership campaign, the factual TV ads demonstrate Dion’s eagerness to regain power as soon as possible and feature admissions from candidates Michael Ignatieff and Ken Dryden that the previous Liberal government failed on the environmental file. Mr. Dion shocked the crowd at the Toronto leadership debate by blowing up at Mr. Ignatieff and then asking: “do you think it is easy to make priorities?” With statements like that, Canadians won’t be surprised that, under former environment Minister Stéphane Dion’s weak leadership, the previous Liberal government allowed greenhouse gas emissions to rise 27% (35% above Canada’s Kyoto targets) and Canada posted one of the worst environmental records in the industrialized world. The new television ads started airing today on network television and specialty channels. |
