
Born and raised in the region, Guy’s career spans a number of sectors, including serving as General Manager of Tri-County Protein Corp, Manager of the Cornwall office of Human Resources Development Canada, and founder of the Bonville Flea Market. Guy has also worked for Domtar and Metropolitan Life Insurance.
First elected to the House of Commons in June 2004, Guy was re-elected in 2006. He serves as Chair of the Standing Committee on Official Languages. As a Parliamentarian, Guy has been very active on border issues, BSE, economic development, and criminal justice reform.
Active in his community, Guy coordinated the fundraising team for the new Aquatic Centre in Cornwall and served as Chair of Cornwall’s Canada Day Celebration.
Guy is married to Frances. His family roots in the region can be traced to the 1800s.
