Lisa Raitt
Ms Lisa Raitt was appointed President & CEO of the Toronto Port Authority (TPA) in September 2002. She joined the TPA in 1999 and previously held the responsibilities of Harbour Master as well as Corporate Secretary and General Counsel.
As President & CEO, Ms Raitt oversees the operations of the Port of Toronto, the Toronto City Centre Airport, the Outer Harbour Marina as well as the TPA's navigational and environmental responsibilities in the waters under its jurisdiction.
A native of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Ms Raitt obtained her B.Sc. in Chemistry from St. Francis Xavier University in 1989, her M.Sc. in Biochemical Toxicology from the University of Guelph in 1993 and her LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1996. She articled with the firm of Smart & Biggar in Toronto specializing in the area of Intellectual Property. Upon her call to the Bar in 1998, Ms Raitt was named a Dr. Harold G. Fox Scholar and worked in London, U.K. with the barristers of Brick Court, 4 Pump court and Essex Court focussing on commercial litigation and shipping arbitration.
Ms Raitt is a member of the Toronto Chapter of the Young President's Organization. She and her husband Dave have two sons, John Colin born in 2001 and William "Billy" David Raitt, born in 2004.
