
Following his studies in history and political science at the University of Windsor, Jeff worked as an Executive Assistant before joining the line at the Trim Division at Daimler Chrysler's Windsor Assembly Plant, where Jeff was employed for seven years. Jeff also distinguished himself as guest commentator on a political panel with CBC Windsor.
First elected to the House of Commons in 2004, Jeff was re-elected in 2006. He is the first autoworker elected to the Parliament of Canada. He is also the first Conservative elected in the riding of Essex in 46 years. Jeff is a member of the Standing Committee on the Environment & Sustainable Development and Vice-Chair of the Conservative Party Auto Caucus. He is also a member of the Canada-UK and Canada-US Inter-Parliamentary Groups.
Jeff and his wife Sarah have four children, Sophie, Emma, Elijah and Thaddaeus.
