I have been involved in my community for close to 25 years. I was an MNA Minister in Robert Bourassa’s government, a city councillor, Chairman of the Société de transport de l'Outaouais in 2002 and Chairman of the Association du transport urbain du Québec in 2004
I have been your federal MP Minister under the Conservative Party banner since 2006. As you know, I am a man of my word and I delivered the goods for the Pontiac riding. I became involved in federal politics to make a difference. For example, we cut the GST rate from 7% to 5%, cut taxes, and invested record amounts in the nation’s infrastructures. Transport 2000 even awarded me the ”Prix orange’’ in recognition of my contributions to developing sustainable transportation in Canada.
I am a man with strong convictions and believe that governments should be accountable and should control their spending. In 2006, you gave me a clear mandate and I met the challenge. I am proud of my various achievements, which reflect the diverse people in the Pontiac riding.
