More Arrogant Liberal Anti-Alberta Attitudes
November 22, 2012
Here is Justin Trudeau condemning fellow Liberal David McGuinty’s anti-Alberta comments yesterday, in English:
My entire campaign has been about bringing people together, about not pitting region against region and about being a strong representative and a voice that says the same thing in Chicoutimi as we say in downtown Calgary as I’ll say in Toronto as I’ll say in B.C….That’s the kind of politics that I am trying to do here.
Here is Justin Trudeau demonstrating the kind of politics he really does in November 2010, in French:
Trudeau: Canada is in bad shape right now because Albertans are controlling our community and social democratic agenda. That’s not working.
Interviewer: Do you think that Canada is better served when there are more Quebecers in power than Albertans?
Trudeau: I’m a Liberal, so of course I think so. Certainly when you look at the great prime ministers of the 20th century, the only ones who really made the grade, were MPs from Quebec. (…) This country, Canada, is ours.
We knew these anti-Alberta attitudes were deeply held within the Liberal Party, we just didn’t know how close to the surface they were.
