Russ Hiebert


South Surrey – White Rock – Cloverdale


Born in Steinbach, Manitoba, Russ has held an extensive career as an attorney and businessman.

First elected to the House of Commons in 2004, Russ has represented the people of South Surrey—White Rock—Cloverdale in Ottawa ever since.  In past years, he has been appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Defence, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of Western Economic Diversification.  Most recently, he served as a Member of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance.

Russ also held leadership roles within the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and the All-Party Parliamentary Border Caucus.

Russ and his wife, Andrea, have two young daughters, Kate and Marie. With a concern for those in need, the Hiebert family sponsor two children through the ‘International China Concern.’

In his spare time, Russ enjoys playing basketball or golf, and going fishing or scuba diving.
