
| Marie-Claude Blais (New Brunswick)
Marie-Claude was born in Ottawa and grew up just across the river in Gatineau, Quebec. In 1995 she moved to New-Brunswick where she has lived ever since. Marie-Claude and her husband Dr. Paul Doiron, a native New-Brunswicker, raise their 9 year old twins, Emma and Thomas in her home riding of Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe. Marie-Claude’s varied political experience includes working as a volunteer, as the Executive Director and a candidate for the Provincial Progressive Conservative Party of New-Brunswick where she also acts as their legal advisor. Marie-Claude is a member of the Quebec and New-Brunswick Bar and serves on the board of directors for various boards such as Rotary and Portage Atlantic. Marie Claude also writes a political bi-weekly Colum in the Times and Transcript, a Moncton based local newspaper, and has been a regular commentator on various political panels. Marie-Claude was first elected to the National Council of the Conservative Party of Canada in November 2008. She is also a member of the Secretariat Committee of the National Council. |
