Michael Lauer (Yukon)

Michael was first elected to the National Council of the Conservative Party of Canada in November 2008. He is currently the Secretary on the council and is the Chair of the Secretariat Committee as well as a member of the Membership Committee of the National Council.

Michael has been involved in politics for over 30 years (since the age of 16). During that time, he has worked as a volunteer with numerous campaigns doing everything from being a runner to running the campaign.

Michael has been a board member for a number of Electoral District Associations including Yukon, Prince George - Peace River, and Prince George - Bulkley Valley. He is currently the Financial Agent for the Yukon Conservative Association and was most recently the Official Agent for the Yukon campaign in 2008 and a key member of the campaign management team.

In his professional life, Michael is an IT professional with the Government of Yukon.

Michael was born in Calgary, raised in Prince George and has been a resident of the Yukon for more than 20 years.

Michael along with his wife Monica, have two very active and politically aware twin boys who are now seven years old.
