Gilles Lavoie (Québec)
Gilles has been a member of the National Council since the Convention held in March 2005 in Montreal, and was reelected at the Winnipeg Convention in November 2008.

Gilles Lavoie has a diploma from McGill University in Labour Relations and Economy, and completed 2 courses for a MBA. He was a Personnel Director for a few years, before becoming a businessman. He has been a contractor, specialized in security systems, for 17 years. He was a candidate to federal elections three times and was the President of the riding of Jonquière-Alma when the new Conservative Party was created.

Since 2005, Mr. Lavoie has been a member of various National Council committees, including the Secretariat Committee, the Caucus Liaison Committee, the Constitution Committee and the National Candidates Selection Committee.

Gilles Lavoie and his wife Dorys have 2 daughters, of 15 and 14 years old.
